all right. picture this, you go to the beach, lay your blanket out perfectly, close the eyes, enjoy the feel of the sun, sound of the ocean, when people walk by trampling sand all over your blanket. >> or maybe you're lounging at the pool after a week of hard work and all you can hear is the loud cell phone conversation coming from the next chair. what do you do about this? jersey of a man, apparently, speaking loudly on his cell phone. when someone is talking on their cell phone loudly and you can tell by the picture that he is, what should you say to that guy? >> first and foremost, you have to look how big he is, is he going to get mad at you and have a sand fight? pick your battles. but if you feel you really need to say something to him say, you know, preface it with we know you want to know we can hear your conversations. nice tone, polite, not adversarial. >> what about music, if music is playing loud? >> i like music. >> i'm all for it. >> what if someone doesn't like the music you play? >> everyone likes my music. >> except for me. >> some music is going to happen, but if there's really loud and two teens offering your diet coke because they are friendly, you can tell them. if it's a mob and they are drinking all day, let it go. if you're at the pool and it's loud music, let the manager of the pool do it. you don't go and address the issue if you don't have to. >> what if it's lyrics and you

>> you're going to get them. >> i'm not giving it up, hoda. >> here we are heading into august now. more wet weather akrcross partsf the southeast. we'll have moisture pumping into the big cities. so that means with enough daytime heating, scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the afternoon. new york city included. boston, keep your umbrella handy today. we get out of this heading into the weekend. temperatures stay cooler back through the great lakes. a stalled out frontal boundary here, looking at large hail and damaging winds. look at these temperatures. this is august 1, 76 in new york. 79 in boston. well below average with a storm moving through. only 82 in chicago. 76 in los angeles.

we'll have some hot weather in phoenix, dallas, and houston. tomorrow, looking like the severe weather moves into the middle of the country. that includes st. louis and kansas city. a hue storms across the high plains once again. 77 in chicago tomorrow. 88 in kansas city. we start to see temperatures climb in the northeast. once we get rid of much of that rain, we'll have a few showers spread across the ohio valley on saturday. it may impact your plans. 90 in atlanta, really warming things up. 100 in dallas. 102 in phoenix on saturday. if you're going to la llapalooz in chicago over the weekend, the thunderstorms stay across the plains. in the southeast more of that in mississippi, alabama, georgia and north florida. 91 in orlando on monday. tuesday, still similar for the southeast. that's where we stay unsettled.
